Travel Itinerary

With Bali Scuba and Sea Safari you’ll be diving Komodo’s best dive spots to ensure sightings of the best marine life and most pristine reefs. Here’s our planned itinerary which includes all of Komodo’s most iconic dive sites such as Cannibal Rock, Manta Alley, Tatawa, Castle Rock, Crystal Bommie and of course Batu Bolong. If you want to see big fish then this is the ultimate liveaboard trip. Are you ready to join the adventure? letsdive@baliscuba.com

Day 1 – Sunday, October 1st
Labuhan Bajo – Sebayor – Tatawa

Starting from Labuan Bajo airport, you will be transferred to the harbor to meet the luxury Sea Safari VII boat which will be your home away from home for the next 5 nights. After welcome drinks, cabin allocation and ship orientation we’ll depart to Sebayor for your check dive. Our second dive is planned for Tatawa Besar where turtles seem to be everywhere and you can expect to see many as you navigate the site. Before you leave the currents behind watch out for the black tip reef sharks, giant trevallies and great and black-tail barracudas. Manta rays also make occasional guest appearances so keep looking out to the blue!
Meals : Lunch, Dinner
Dive: 1-2 times (depend on the arrive time)[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_single_image image=”6370″][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]

Day 2 – Monday, October 2nd
Cannibal Rock – Banana Island – Lohok Sera Bay

Day 2 is packed with colour, coral and critters! Unbelievable amounts of rare nudibranch fight for space on the reef along with the thousands of multi colored feather stars and unusual sea apples. Look out for hiding juvenile painted frogfish and ghost pipefish – they are all there! Adult frogfish swim around the rock that hosts such surprises as pygmy seahorses, pregnant zebra crabs, Rhinopias, dopy hawksbill turtles, blue ringed octopus and some of the most prolific and colorful corals on display in the Komodo National Park.

Meals : Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Dive: 4 times

Day 3  – Tuesday, October 3rd
Manta Alley – Komodo Island

Just before the shores of Komodo Island we will start our dive to the east of the rocks where a submerged sea mound rises to just a few meters below the surface. In the lee area between this mound and the rocky islet there are almost always a couple of juvenile mantas playing around – on good days there are mantas everywhere – swooping, gliding, cartwheeling and giving the show of a lifetime. This is one of Komodo’s most famous sites for good reason!

Meals : Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Dive: 4 times

Day 4 – Wednesday, October 4th
Castle Rock – Gili Lawa Laut – Crystal Bommie

Day 4 is another big fish day with the famous Castle Rock and Crystal Bommie on the schedule. These two submerged sea mounts are well known for their shark sightings and currents which bring in hordes of predators ready to hunt. Sightings usually include tuna, mackerel, white tips and trevally with other shark species also known to come and join the action!  These sites are also well known for their abundant and vibrant soft corals.

Meals : Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Dive: 4 times[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_single_image image=”6660″ alignment=”center”][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]

Day 5 – Thursday, October 5th
Batu Bolong – Tatawa Kecil – Rinca

Corals, colour, iconic sites, swim throughs, caves, big fish, small fish, schooling fish and everything in between! With dives at these world-class sites everything is possible – and usually a reality. Expect to see patrolling sharks, napoleon wrasse, giant trevally, dogtooth tuna, large schools of rainbow runners and fusiliers, clouds of glass fish and a host of critters. We’ll also take a trip on the Rinca Island to see the Komodo dragons which reside there – the world’s largest monitor lizard!

Meals : Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Dive: 2 times

Day 6 – Friday, October 6th
Labuhan Bajo

We’ll return to Labuan Bajo early in the morning where breakfast will be served on board prior to disembarkation and return transfers to the airport. You’ll be leaving Komodo with new friends, a sense of exhilaration and memories to last a lifetime.

Meals : Breakfast
No dive

Whilst we will endeavour to follow the above itinerary, changes may be made due to sea and dive site conditions
