Imagine flying over a pristine coral reef; gliding effortlessly alongside schools of fish and being able to access a whole range of new dive sites. It’s all possible when you take the PADI Drift Diver Specialty Course with Bali Scuba!
During your course you’ll make 3 incredible dives at one of Bali’s most famous dive locations – Nusa Penida. Nusa Penida is where you’ll find resident Manta rays, vibrant reefs and from July to October you may even see Mola! Nusa Penida’s sloping coral reefs are ideal for drift diving – we usually have currents which range from a gentle glide along the reef to a faster current where you’ll experience the exhilaration of literally “going with the flow”.

Drift diving Nusa Penida
You’ll learn about ocean currents and what causes different types of drifts, special considerations for drift diving, planning a drift dive, assessing currents, techniques for drift diving, buddy contact in currents, signalling the boat by using a delayed surface marker buoy and entry and exit strategies for drift dives.
We complete the PADI Drift Diver Specialty Course in one day which includes theory, practical training and 3 drift dives. You’ll need to be PADI Open Water Diver certified to take this course and we recommend you have at least 20 logged dives.
