What is the PADI Instructor Development Course?
The Instructor Development Course will allow you to share your passion and teach. This is also your passport to travel around the world and work in amazing and unique places. What are the requirements?
List of Requirements
- Be certified as a PADI Divemaster. (Or hold a leadership level certification with another training agency).
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Have been a certified diver for at least 6 months.
- Have logged at least 90 dives & show proof of deep, night & navigation dives. (We can help you add any dives you need to meet these criteria)
- Submit a medical statement signed by a physician dated within past 12 months. You can cheaply and easily visit a physician here in Bali to sign your medical statement but please note none are really knowledgeable about diving-related issues)
- Submit proof of CPR and First Aid Training within the last 24 months. (If you haven’t taken a CPR and First Aid course within the last 24 months you can take PADI Emergency First Response here before your IDC).

Our Course Director at Bali Scuba! He is a friendly Balinese man who has been teaching since 2011 as a PADI Instructor. Thousands of students have been certified under his guidance, and his enthusiasm for teaching is infectious—his courses are a lot of fun.
With over 13 years of experience as an Instructor and currently serving as a Course Director, Ketut has certified more than 300 new Instructors. His diving knowledge is extensive, and he loves sharing it with others. Ketut is a passionate diver and an incredible Course Director. He will always make time for you and encourage you to be the best PADI Instructor you can be.
